...and a lot of ya'll would say that Black genocide is okay as long as it has a good beat and you can vibe to it.
The rest of us expect better because we know the culture can be better.
II don't know what any of that means. I don't know who your statement was directed towards, but I personally don't want ANY rapper pushing death, drugs, and destruction on Black folks while lining the white man's pockets. Also, I didn't post or quote any lyrics in this thread, so I don't know what you mean there, either. I don't know who was cherry picking.Who said Black genocide is ok?
And again, a lot of you aren't holding these rappers to the same standard. Lyrics are cherry picked to highlight certain artists to make a point.
I’m not sure how many times it’s been said but it’s been said before and people still succumb.
What’s the excuse?

What I do know is that Special Ed, Lyor Cohen, Ice Cube, Dr. Umar, Glasses Malone, Lord Jamar, etc. were all correct when they said that THIS version of the music is designed to lead young Black people to an unfortunate end. You can pretend that it's not happening; but in the real world, we're dancing to our own demise (while the devil gets rich).
Semantics. Like I said, I don't want ANY drugs, death, and destruction being pushed on Black people. I don't care about the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, or any other "yeah, buts".Which version because if we go down that rabbit hole, its a lot of music since the late 80's that have pushed that on the youth including Cube. There's no such thing as this version.
Its crazy how much of a clown this dude became
Imagine a “black man” calling another black man a “clown” because he says there is a deliberate agenda to imprison black men with the help of music?
An agenda he was a willing participant of. Through multiple eras and decades to boot
It is still on them for the lyrics at the end of the dayDidn't Special Ed basically said the same thing? Meek said it himself, labels pay them more to push poison music instead of thoughtful lyrics.
So calling out his hypocrisy is more important than calling out those in power that push negative entertainment on black youth to lead them closer and closer to prison? An agenda he was a willing participant of. Through multiple eras and decades to boot
It goes right over their heads.
NO IT DOESN'T.
YOURE DELIBERATELY IGNORING
HE FOUND OUT THE LABELS
OWNED THE PRISONS.
