This is sad that people are still color struck. This is also true in black american families which is why you rarely see a dark skinned couples, particularly old dark couples who are not impoverished/lower middle class (they had no other choice but be together). You see plenty of older light skinned middle class couples all the time. Or generally a dark man with a lighter woman and vice versa. Even in my family my paternal great grandmother eventually disowned my grandfather and kids because of their darker poorer mom. My great gram's husband was darker and she was mean to him from what I am told. So glad I wasn't exposed to that shyt. My mom's maternal side is black indian and her paternal side black american. The black indian side gravitates towards blacks (ratchet ones at that)and other non-whites, the black american side are dark but color struck. I remember my cousin hiding the fact he dated a white girl from my mom's mom when he was grown as hell. Hopefully we can build a world where status and access are determined by your actions and character, not what you look like and are connected to. Also, we can love who we want when we want unconditionally, without the superfluous bs and passing down dysfunction of the archaic systems.

Humans follow the herd. We follow money, power, luxury. Where are those things hoarded? In white homelands. The entrance to this magical kingdom? White skin.
I can't be too angry at these people. They're doing what humans naturally do. They're following the wealth. Calling them c00ns is not going to change things.
What can change things, however, is disassociating blackness with poverty. We as a race are unfortunately burdened with it, and poor education. If black countries were ever able to stem the tide, be leaders in politics, education, entertainment, I believe blackness could be something that is no longer shunned, but desired.
Either way, anger is no help. The only thing you can do is make sure you and your family are straight in all areas.
