I guarantee you a few decades from now, both American football and professional wrestling are gonna be either very different or outright finished due to extensive studies on CTE.

As someone who played up until and including college... I can actually understand where you're coming from (even though your thread is hard to follow).

The main danger of football is the unknown, especially in highschool. Brehs getting knocked the fukk out on big hits and back in 5 plays later even though they most likely suffered a concussion.

Nowadays, more is being done to make the game safer. Have you seen the slip-pad technology?. Its pretty impressive.

Regardless, every human being should play a sport in middle and high school. But if you don't want them playing football I can understand it.

My sons are going to stick with basketball and soccer/track
I am part Nigerian like you. Having 6'4 kids with high IQ is normal. More than likely, they have football athletic ability better than their Basketball ability. Looking at my fiance, it's likely they will be 6'5 and strong. More than likely football studs like my cousin who was #1 recruit out of HS since I am big and tall as is my dad. They will likely play Football. It is what it is.

I bought a Carbon 15 when I was 18
Yep, I'm backpedaling :manny:

I told my father this two days ago. Listen, I was on my way to be on the HS football team in the 9th grade :manny: I was fat then, but that could have turned into muscle. So, every Monday and Wednesday we had weight training :jawalrus: It was good, but I soon realized this wasn't for me. Especially, when I read about the risk of concussions :snoop: However, I did try out in 12th grade for the Wrestling team, but never got a reply back. Only thing I regret was not trying out for basketball

Anyway, I just would NOT let my son or daughter play football. Because I don't always want to take them to the doctor to get check out. Still, my kids will play sports. Maybe something like Lacrosse, Rugby, Soccer, Baseball, Hockey, and Basketball:obama: I'm going to have atleast 8 kids.

TBH, I just don't want to see my kids with memory loss. Listen, I could have EXCELLED in Football. Hell, my cousin who was the HS football captain went to Richmond to play football at a great college :manny:

That money :ahh:
U cant turn fat into muscle tissue

They have to hit each other in a specific way-below the chest I believe, you probably know more. Lets not forget why football players started wearin pads. There was a lot of deaths in the league due to the sport.

I can still watch Rugby even though I dont understand it. No need to compare to the sports both are no joke.

Besides the safety element rugby just plays better.
There isn't a central man making all the decisions.
There is continuity. nfl I can't watch cause most the time they aren't even playing but standing around.

I think I might start watching Rugby and give it a shot.

Who? The pops played FB?

Yeah the pops played football all his life... real good in highschool and eventually played when we were in college together.

His son is 10 going on 11 now. and he doesn't want him in football due to head injuries.

But he has his son (my lil nephew/godson) in jui jitsu (my idea due to my boxing background) and acting as extra-ciriculars.

The kid is smart as hell too....so I hope he eventually gets into engineering when he's older.

Yeah, the injuries is why he doesn't want his son to plat. Also, BJJ is good and I plan to take that up for health. I used o do Pilates too. Also, good luck to the kid man.
