I'd prefer them not to play, but if that's the only sport they are good at, I wouldn't stop them.

Hopefully, if I have a son(s), they are good at another sport.

I'm short so I'd imagine if my son was good at football, he'd probably could be good at soccer or some other sport that relies heavily on agility.

It's not like I'm going to have offensive lineman sized kids where football is pretty much the logical choice.

Yep, I'm backpedaling :manny:

I told my father this two days ago. Listen, I was on my way to be on the HS football team in the 9th grade :manny: I was fat then, but that could have turned into muscle. So, every Monday and Wednesday we had weight training :jawalrus: It was good, but I soon realized this wasn't for me. Especially, when I read about the risk of concussions :snoop: However, I did try out in 12th grade for the Wrestling team, but never got a reply back. Only thing I regret was not trying out for basketball

Anyway, I just would NOT let my son or daughter play football. Because I don't always want to take them to the doctor to get check out. Still, my kids will play sports. Maybe something like Lacrosse, Rugby, Soccer, Baseball, Hockey, and Basketball:obama: I'm going to have atleast 8 kids.

TBH, I just don't want to see my kids with memory loss. Listen, I could have EXCELLED in Football. Hell, my cousin who was the HS football captain went to Richmond to play football at a great college :manny:

That money :ahh:

please stop spreading this misconception...

fat is fat.... muscle is muscle.....

two completely different things

fat >=< Muscle

you either gain or loose fat....

you either gain or loose muscle....

you cant turn these things into one another...

I'm not that size anymore. However, a FB coach told me that fat could turn to muscle.

As a current HS football coach and someone who played throughout college...decisions like this disturb me, but I understand. Pop Warner and High School programs are experiencing low #'s due to parents decision to hold kids out from playing football. All this concussion research scares parents, but your at risk of concussions in any physical sport. Soccer is also high in concussion cases (high school) along with Lacrosse.

I think its beyond the sport. Its all "knowledge and coaching". Will it stop concussions ? No...but teaching good form and technique will reduce the risk of them. Not to mention, the protective rules/penalties for head to head hits (not in the trenches tho). Team sports like football are good for developing team work, discipline, and accountability which helps them in the future working world.

To each's own though.

Not all of the dislocations from football but football were the first two and they kept poppin out in practice/games and I was too stubborn to get surgery until I had to call it quits cuz I was all fukked up.

Dude was steppin on my hand so I lost my shyt took of my helmet headbutted him, split my forehead blacked out, broke my nose and fractured my orbital..if it was a couple centimeters up the doc told me I would have went blind. His team mate slammed his facemask from the right side in my lower jaw and had a bad fractured jaw.

Was yellin at coach to put me back in the game bleedin everywhere from my head and not even bein able to talk cuz I couldn't close my jaw. I miss that shyt :mjcry:
You is one DUMB ASS nikka!

I never played organized football even though i wanted to but I have boxed in the past and I was still worried about fukking up this pretty face. Def ain't gon be headbutting a nikka with a helmet on when I don't got one on!
