I played high school football and the only time I had a concussion was when I got jump by some four corner hustlers while walking to practice and I played for 3 years as an offensive tackle.

Concussion is a factors in the big league more so then high school football
Shyt one of my HS old coaches was like my mentor. He played in the NFL and was tryna "look" out for me. Told me "when you hit them, take their brains out their helmet":whoa: so I lived by it. I never thought about the repercussions of injuring myself and other players:mjcry:

gonna put my son in boxing :blessed:

With possibilities of even higher risk of head trauma

I can see where OP is comign from though. It's mostly running backs, line backers, and linemen that are at risk.

Receivers and defensive backs tend to be low risk impact depending style of play of the offense(DB's), they are only in danger of that one big hit, BUT they dont deal with hit after hit after hit every play like the running backs, linebackers or guys in the trenches.

To me playing up to high school isn't too bad but making the NFL as a trench player can be brutal

I would never tell my son he cant play but its not a sport Id encourage either. I never played again past my second year of college but my body still has lingering effects from the 10 years I played it

My kids won't be pussies, but Football is out the equation.

why?...football teaches you discipline and team work...it also keeps you in shape...yes the injuries are something to be mindful of but imo you are over reacting...
Concussions. Hockey, Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, and Lacrosse teaches you discipline and team work.

What effects you have?

I need to start gettin ready for this shyt

Do you have symptoms of memory loss?

No brain problems at all but I had a partially torn left rotator cuff that never healed right. Prolly doesn't help that I still push thru that pain in the gym. I have problems with my left knee if I do too much and itll randomly start clicking sometimes. Almost all of my fingers have been dislocated or broken at some point and I still have pain in those if I move them wrong
