I don't know why people keep comparing Marlo and Avon. Marlo hadn't been in the game nearly as long enough to be considered a legend in the streets. He was still building. He was also part of the new generation. Everyone in the co-op was old school.

Avon: wasn't a fan of him but he did have loyalty when it came to his family so at least I could respect that. So depending on the episode I couldn't stand him sometimes I respected the decisions ie stringer
Marlo: hated this dude. That line about respect vs fear applies to him. No real values, selfish killed to many people for no real reason.
D: felt for him. Smart but got caught in the trap and was too late she he realized it.
Same for wallace
Stringer: hated him acted like little bytch
Omar: entertaining great character, many memorable scenes
Cheese: some people think he was way overtop, but there are plenty of guys like that in RL.
Prop Joe was a smarter, older version. Of stringer.
Pooty: I still laugh when he shytted on the first coop meeting. Stringer was furious

Marlo would've sent his people to get murked.
They didn't want any problems with Omar. Chris was worried Omar was gonna come murk his family. He was stressing over it.
They avoided telling Marlo because they knew he would've sent them against Omar, and none of those dudes wanted that.

When did Marlo ever fall back on Omar? He was consistently imploring Chris and them too get Omar...all the way to his death.

The whole crew was shook of/respected Omar. When Omar survived the shootout at Monk's apartment, Marlo even said "we missed our shot..now he going to be at us". Thats why they went into hiding. So yes they did fall back..to an extent.
Had they told Marlo about Omar talking shyt, Marlo's ego would of been bruised and he would of got reckless in the hunt for Omar and more than likely he himself probably would of joined the wolves on the hunt. Which would more than likely ended up in Marlo getting caught slipping.
Chris knew all that shyt..which is why they didn't tell Marlo shyt

Yea, I didn't mean physically fall back, Omar definitely made him do that as a protective measure, I meant he never fell back on his desire/intent to get Omar. I highly doubt Marlo didn't know Omar was calling him out, but even if he didn't, Marlo was already going hard at Omar cuz he knew what Omar walking around all freely (or chilling in paradise
) did to his name.

The thing that always gets forgotten is that Avon and Stringer keeping those two dumb nikkas Gerad and Sapper involved in important missions ended up fukking up the organization just as much as Avon & String's betrayal.
