Same team for a decade now. Unwatchable and not serious.
That’s the worst part. They’re not just bad with no upside. It’s also gotta be made clear that the don’t care that they’re not even a good viewing experience. The ravens made me tune out after a while when Dean pees ran their defense for the same reason. 6 years of bad tackling, huge cushions (8-12 yards) for receivers at the line, and folding under pressure (the defense lost 24 games on its final stand in his 6 years there), and not once was he ever under pressure to get it together before he retired. The Yankees are the same way. No lefties, no young ascending talent, old guys on bad contracts, too many strikeouts, and always terrible with men on. I can’t remember the last time they had a lasting improvement in an area they were bad at the year prior.

They blame everything on either injuries or luck.
While simultaneously telling us the playoffs are a crapshoot and almost exclusively pursuing injury prone players which at this point I have to assume is specifically to give themselves an excuse when they build a team they know isn’t good enough to win it all comes up short.

that's all it is. That's all analytics is for them. Boone even said so.

If they deviate from analytics or their models or data then he has to figure out how to justify it to ownership. The data makes everyone look at each other like :manny: and keep going

Can only do something like that when the owner doesn’t care about winning and just needs to front office to cover for him being cheap and apathetic

Fire this Motherfùcka Boone now

Cashman can go too
Sure Boone is awful, but firing him changes nothing. The rot in this organization is at the top with Hal, Levine, and cashman. Boone was hired to be a puppet manager and it’s never been a secret. I doubt he has any input in anything the team does. Boone would simply be replaced by another incompetent puppet man and things would be exactly as they are now.

The culture of 0 accountability, apathy, the need to do dumb shyt in hopes of outsmarting everyone which means passing on obvious moves in favor of one’s that make no sense, and the refusal to be upfront or honest with the press or the fans starts with cashman. Then of course it falls on Hal for being apathetic enough to let cashman run the team the way he does because he doesn’t really care about baseball.

Brian Cashman became GM 25 years ago, in that time how many great position players have the Yankees developed in that time? Judge who is an all timer, Cano ok who else

We went over pitchers last year how essentially the aces he’s had were bought/traded from other teams(Moose, CC, Cole, Clemens)

That’s the whole list. Judge & Cano (who was called up 18 years ago now). The closest he’s come to developing a star starting pitcher is Severino, who misses as much time as Bill Walton in the late 70’s/early 80’s. 2 guys in 26 years.
