The only guy in recent memory who had to carry his team the way Aaron Judge does, was Alex Rodriguez in Texas.
Even there they had other batters who put up big numbers. The pitching was garbage though. Also I knew the draft results were bad by cashman, but holy shyt that is 25 years of drafting every bit as bad as the rams did from 2000-2010 where 1 guy they drafted became a pro bowler. It makes the ravens 2009-14 draft classes all look like the 1996 nba or nfl drafts by comparison.

No Judge in the lineup means this team is unwatchable until he gets his meaningless pinch hit at bat in the 8th or 9th :russell:
Meanwhile they say it’s too much to ask him to DH. The lack of a sense of urgency from this organization has turned the whole situation toxic and it’s only gonna get worse until they clean house. 28 of the other 29 teams have changed out their GM at least once since 2010, but the guy who does everything wrong but find bullpen arms for cheap and who burns bridges with countless franchise greats gets a lifetime deal.

My Pops Forever RIP
What happened to Volpe having next?
he still has a solid future ahead of him, but they're messing with his development. The stuff he's terrible at, they're not really trying to fix other than lowering him in the lineup. The one stretch of good baseball he had was a product of listening to his 24 year old catcher in AA who saw something he was doing wrong. That's why the hitting coach got fired.

They're building him up directly or indirectly to be that next huge star when in reality, he shouldn't be playing SS and long term if he can't get on base, he's kinda worthless.

Between the franchise and the fanbase, apparently we're all above developing prospects. They all gotta be Puig out the gate (even Judge kinda sucked during his first callup).
