This is amazing.

The Yankees needed to sweep the Angels to make them demoralized about the 2nd half and more likely to give up on the season and therefore trade Ohtani.

Instead, they're going to be swept by the Angels.

That tweet above by Ken Rosenthal that the Yankees may look to manage costs and avoid an Ohtani trade may be legitimate. But it may also be something leaked by Yankees management to save face after losing the first two games of the series to LAA.



If you can take your emotions out of this for a little bit, it's comical how bad the Yankees are being run at the moment.

I’ve been saying for years they’re the most poorly ran and embarrassing franchise in the region even over the jets and Knicks when they’re at their worst. I stand by that. We’ve needed the press to hammer them the way Dan & Stugotz hammered manfred after the Stanton to NY trade but these dudes are afraid of losing access to a team that does nothing but lie to them about everything anyway

As for Bader, love the player, but realistically he can’t be back next season. We just can’t afford to have more injury prone guys.
