They would play this way the day after Hal gave that :trash: interview with Kay :heh:

Seriously though I legitimately can’t tell if Hal is truly this dense or if he’s just an apathetic & dishonest cheapskate when it comes to how he runs this team. He needs to act real soon. He has to know this will drive fans away. Can’t consistently field a bad team that’s unwatchable and only has 2 guys with a long term future here.

That Stanton contract :heh:

Can’t play the field and washed at the plate:heh:
I don’t think it’s that he can’t play the field. Coming off an mvp season they only wanted him as the DH when he’s been a good fielder in his career and always hits better when he gets to play the field too. Then there’s the issue of them wanting to sit him every other game as if he doesn’t need the reps to get his timing down. No team shoots themselves in the foot as much as these guys do.

I think Hank was the sports fan Hal is in it for the business. As long as popularity and worth stays high I think he's fine.

Theyre talking about bellinger by the deadline @Remote
I wouldn't say that Bellinger is back to his MVP form with the Dodgers, but Bellinger would be their best outfielder not named Aaron Judge.

Sure, he's prone to chasing pitches here and there. But he's more disciplined than Stanton.

Thing is...while Bellinger would be an improvement, he's another one of those high variance guys. If you get into the playoffs, he's probably gonna hit .200 or .400.

Is it possible that Yankee Stadium helps him, being that he's left-handed? Yeah. It certainly boosted Curtis Granderson for a while. But I think this is Brian Cashman grasping at straws.

I'm not against this move. But I think they probably need a good right-handed threat, and they've gotta figure out how to fix the infield. Rizzo is good. Gleyber is over-performing. You can live with 3B or SS being below average. But not both of them.

Judge says he has a torn ligament in his toe. No guarantee he’ll be back this year. In other words the team stalled and then lied to us about the severity of his injury so people would buy tickets that they otherwise wouldn’t if they knew Judge wouldn’t be in the lineup :hhh: :pacspit:

I mean it was pretty clear to me he did more damage to the toe then they were letting on.

Now they have the excuse for the disaster season. I mean they were gonna use injuries anyway but now it makes it that much easier.

With ligaments, a grade 2 or 3 sprain is a tear. But they did downplay how bad the injury was (they called it minor), which is what this team always does. They constantly downplay injuries and you never know how bad it is until weeks later.

At this point just fukk around with callups to see if they could do better.
Can’t be any worse. Judge & Rizzo are the only guys with a .250+ average or even a .325 obp. Bauers & Calhoun are top 5 in obp on this team :trash:. I’d say sell at the deadline, but unless cashman gets fired, there’s no point since he’s fukked up the last 2-3 generations of young players. Can’t operate on a budget to avoid paying the tax every year when your GM can’t evaluate or develop young talent and only wants to acquire washed up vets or garbage players :francis:
