That’s not even a personality thing. With as good as the Celtics are, he has to turn it up to an unbelievable level and have an all-time regular season, or catch a good year where the usual suspects aren’t in the picture.
Or maybe he gets a Josh Allen lifetime achievement one of these yrs

Na I agree I just think it’s crazy how he’s been just about everything you want out of a basketball player thus far in his career, yet he’s not able to break through that glass ceiling.
Like so far it would be hard to bring him up as a tentpole of the last decade of basketball, even with his elite skillset and wins

he's not as good as any of the 3 players he mentioned and he needs to grow a personality.
he very well could be the best american player we have for the next 5 years though.

He actually does have a strong fan base, my little cousin loves him. I see his jersey around a lot.
Him not being the face of the league is cuz he really hasn’t separated himself from his peers. Bricking step back 3s , instead of attacking the rim leads to inconsistency from him.
Cuz at times he looks top 3 but then he goes cold….
He didn’t play his best late in last years championship run and the whole Olympic situation.

He’s unquestionably been a top 5 player of the 2020s but hes never been the best or even arguably the best, that right there will put a limit
Then even the team success is kinda a gift and curse, gift bc he’s making deep playoff runs every year but the downside is we didn’t really get see the natural cycle of being drafted to a losing team and watching them build up each year like we saw with KD in OKC & Steph
And we live in a highlight culture more than ever and while he has great highlights, they’re not best in the league break Twitter great
