considering how hard artist are raped i can only imagine what the "non stars" get treated like. If they are like any other business they have people counting the money (accountants), people keeping their computers going (IT professionals). Why not go that route and just send your resume to record labels. If you want to actually be part of the music then you probably need to have some musical knowledge :manny:

I want to get into demonic filth.

No you dont friend. I hope you're getting into Christian music or something spiritual in nature because outside of that, nothing but demons away you in that industry. Lets not be merchants of death. Its so demonic, friends.

iight so I just started college and shyt. I'm majoring in Business but what I really want to do is something/anything music related. Whether it's working for Def Jam, blogging, A&R'ing or that type of shyt. I've seen that lifestyle and it's something I'm interested in.

So what I want to know is, what would be a good major for that? Let's say I stuck with business, what particular field would help me get in there after I graduated? Should I switch to a journalism major or something? Help me out coli brehs.
Well, it's hard to get in. When you're in, it's hard to move up. It's also who you know, not what you know.
Marketing or Management would be the business-related majors to get into.
Journalism will not give you any business background. That's is a degree you can use to write articles for music magazines, like Vibe, or for websites, but to not write articles on behalf of Def Jam.
The thing with a business degree that is good is that if you don't get into music, it is broad enough to get into a different industry. So, you might end up working for a local business or national corporation or government or whatever. But with the job, you can then afford to enjoy music entertainment rather than be in the business.

One of the issues you're having is your shyt is too general. "I want to be in the music industry", well there's plenty of things in the industry you can do. You then go on to say, it doesnt matter you just want to do anything, well nikka how is that enough information for anybody to help you?

Start off with something like that and work my way up if it's possible. I wanna be on some Steve Stoute shyt in the future. Be an executive.

Is that a lil more helpful :yeshrug:
