People seemed like they were mad that Em came back out with that Aftermath formula when "We Made You" came out but not only was the video funny and vintage Em, when you play it in the context of the album it actually fit perfectly, lightening the mood up a little bit after such a dark record like Same song and dance (ill shyt) basically acknowledging that the same women that hate his misogyny made him a star because of his looks.
You couldn't have had the outro either.

That type of Em single...was his trademark

How come this dude never did one album where he got all the dopest producers and came with some anthems, boom bap, soul samples, etc.

How you gonna be considered an all time great when you don't have an IImatic, Purple Tape, Reasonable Doubt, The Cronic, etc, type album in your catalog.

I personally think he's done. The comedic style rap that made him famous won't fly anymore for a 50 year old. He needs to do more sarcastic conscious rap which will never satisfy the mainstream but it will give him more cred as a rapper and add to his resume. For example the whole dissing Donald Trump or bringing awareness to social justice issues is the only angle he needs to concentrate on.

Don't sleep on this as well, this is also the direction besides the buckshot joint he should be on. This is also the last song Dre produced for EM.

(edit) almost forgot this with Just Blaze producing. Sh*t Recovery's bonus tracks were better than the album lol

:ehh: that ridaz song is pretty dope, sounds a lot like the old em

Maybe an improvement on a BME type project is about the best you'd get with Royce, which is cool but he has his own issues that would just compound with Em's if you just left them alone with no musical guidance.

Just an improvement? :ld:Royce understands production now to a higher agree, to the point he even now understands the dopest beat isnt always the best/fittest one to rap over. Royce has turned into a studio rat. Royce now >>>>> than the Royce on BME.

Em also needs to record in Detroit/around his old surroundings/crew and not his crib, and call it a day. He needs that more than anything else. Even Royce's studio is outside of his crib.

Ridaz is everything Recovery should’ve been.

Em needs to go and live life and then create. How are you supposed to create great art living in complete isolation.
