He doesn't like criticism. Here's one example with Just Blaze.

Nothing in the article you posted suggests Em doesn't like criticism (most people don't).

He went back and listened to the song 30 times and discovered Just was right and even thanked him.

Several artists that have been in the studio with Eminem have stated that Eminem is open to input asking "was this good" or "what do you think about this". Dre even told Eminem he couldn't bring notebooks of rhymes to the studio and made him write to the beat. You can hear the difference between Eminem before Dre and Eminem after Dre.

Now there was a point when Eminem was recording Encore and he said Dre just simply laughed when he looked for input. I don't know how that wasn't a red flag that it was wack or how Dre signed off on the tracks he did i.e. "Just Lose It"

To go a bit further into detail:

Consequently having nothing but "yes-men" in your corner is one of the worst things that can happen regarding the quality of an artists output. There are many instances where you have really talented artists but they just cant properly turn their talent into full, complete bodies of work. Thats where you need guidance & constructive criticism. Someone telling you "That beat sounds cheap", "You are off beat", "The lyrics need to be rewritten" etc. etc. I had countless moments where I listened to songs where someone delivers a part so horrible it just makes me wonder how the hell not one single person during the recording session or at least during the final mixing stages said anything. :mjtf:
In Ems case he needs someone to tell him point blank that his choppy off beat robot/screaming hybrid flow is like sticking a knife in your ears and its just not enjoayable to listen to. When he was at his peak dude killed his verses and, to me, he always had that anger & power in his voice while rapping. Now he sounds absolutely ridiculous, more like a parody.
One of my fav songs from him is this:

No ridiculous bullshyt, just dope rapping, hook & beat

I like Encore way more than most of his shyt post Relapse.

Evil Deeds is one of his best songs IMO, though I wouldn't expect a lot of other people to put it on a list.

Encore wouldn't have anywhere close the reputation it has now if these songs weren't on it:

-Puke
-My 1st Single
-Big Weenie
-Rain Man
-Just Lose It
-Ass Like That

And these songs were added to it:
-We as Americans
-Love You More
-Ricky Ticky Toc

In this case, you don't have a radio-friendly single, but it helps Encore continue the progression from The Eminem Show. It also helps set the stage better for Curtain Call.

I think Just Lose It and Ass Like That are still fun in some crank Yankees kind of way. Just Lose It was just the fully turned up version of My Name Is, which he put a mirror to on We Made You (Relapse)

I think people ignore some of the lyrics in Ems joke singles. They poke at his style and fan base really well

One big trait of Eminem’s fall-off is no longer using celebrity/pop culture references tastefully. They’re mostly for the sake of rhyme. Even the punchline gets shortened to 1/4 of a bar as opposed to back when he used to flip names but let the lime breathe. Now he just rhymes Hat Trick with Danika Patrick with no substance to the actual bar

I agree with the bolded. That's why even though "The Real Slim Shady" and "Without Me" sound like cheesy pop songs, there's a level of self-awareness and sarcasm elevates both of them and make them enjoyable to listen to.

That's part of why I don't like "Just Lose It." It sounds like a rehash of what he did before. Even when it starts, it references "Without Me." It's uninspired and it feels like Eminem just wanted to make something to get the album out. I know he didn't want to make another "My Name Is...," but he still put his all into "The Real Slim Shady."

I actually think "Ass Like That" is better than "Just Lose It," and if the album really needed a lead single for pop radio, then I would choose that one. But between the accents and him thinking he's Triumph, it's a little hard to listen to.

People seemed like they were mad that Em came back out with that Aftermath formula when "We Made You" came out but not only was the video funny and vintage Em, when you play it in the context of the album it actually fit perfectly, lightening the mood up a little bit after such a dark record like Same song and dance (ill shyt) basically acknowledging that the same women that hate his misogyny made him a star because of his looks.
