Perhaps, but this goes for damn near all artists. Most of their early material is their best stuff, when they aren't fully removed from the ground level. This is a white guy that stays in his mansion all day thinking about a sexual encounter he had with Mariah 20 years ago. What can you really expect from a guy like that?

Having said all that, his white fanbase seems to love it. He sells a lot of records. Just go to any random Eminem song and go straight to the comments. The white people love it. No need to change anything.

Facts

But the difference between now and say, 2002 is that his fanbase is basically people who like him for nostalgia + rednecks. It's much more likely for young white people to be into Travis Scott, Drake, Migos, Cardi B, etc.

So yeah Eminem is still getting lots of streams, but due to his legacy from thr late 90s and early 00s. Nobody would give a fukk about him if his debut album was revival.

Many rappers have expressed they used to like Eminem a lot better before. Not just enemies like MGK, Nick Cannon, or Joe Budden but even absolutely neutral people like Domination, Diabolic, Tyler the creator and even Hopsin or Rah Diggah

Not surprised. And I'm sure many more agree, silently. That's why I think it's good for him to work with Fat Joe, I'm not a huge fan of his but he wouldn't let that flappin around like a bapkin shyt slide.

You're right, because Eminem already has a built in fanbase from 15+ years ago. He's lucky he came up in the era that he came up in, because that shyt wouldn't fly in this era honestly. From what I've observed, Eminem (or his music) doesn't really resonate with the new age of white hip-hop fans. These days, the white hip-hop fans listen to the same music that the black fans listen to. shyt, even alot of the White rappers try to make the same music the Black ones make

You're 100% right. Eminem's fans mostly seem to be 30+, people who were tweens and teens

The current white rappers cannot achieve success without making music that black people would conceivably listen to.

I also distinctly remember Fat Joe saying that Relapse wasn't hot. That he was still selling units but it wasn't until the forever verse that he felt like Em got his momentum back...and that was 10 years ago.

Give it up, Eminem does not make good music at all..and that’s admit the gist of it

Never really has if you think about it, he made catchy songs but the music always was bad which is why none of his shyt has any longevity outside or hoes fan base...

I literally never hear this dude mentioned by regular nikkas, none of his songs being played, etc...outside of the coli and there’s a reason for that :francis:

I think hes rich and doesnt need a damn thing :mjlol:
I hope you know that only poor people think this way. People like Dre and Jay care about what they put out and how they are perceived...not "I'm rich I won I quit job well done"

OP did you not like kamikaze? Best shyts Em's done since relapse. I think it's his personal life that effects his music the most. Em's at his best when he's at his lowest mentally. Slim Shady era he was an addict, relapse he was having drug problems again and kamikaze people were saying he was done. When his back is against the wall he shines brightest. When he's just making an album hell just record anything. When he's got a point to prove he's at his best.

He doesn't like criticism. Here's one example with Just Blaze.

He talks about how he told Em that he was drifting off subject in the second verse of one of the track's they were working on and his flow in the third was off. (Blaze doesn't reveal which Recovery song he was referring to.)

Eminem didn't see it that way. "I don't hear that, dog," he told Just.

In Just Blaze's mind, he thought he messed up his money and the opportunity to work on Recovery. Hours later, Em called him and said that after he listened to the song 30 times, he finally heard what Just was talking about. Eminem also thanked him, because he said he doesn't get much frank feedback like that.

Kamikaze was better than revival, but that’s not saying much. It still wasn’t that good. Eminem is too robotic, what he’s doing is barely even music at this point

I liked Kamikaze

But I feel like it was the exception and pretty much existed as a reaction to the reception of Revival.

Been said Proof was the non yes man guy of the camp, been that way since him and Em first started.

Royce could be that guy for Em now as Em respects him sees him as an equal or better even as a rapper, those griselda cats seem to be rubbing off on him too as far as their movement.
:mjlol:royce the #1:cape:for Em.. he could've never be real with Em or Himself:dead:
