I think ASAP has always been trash. Anyone who was a fan of theirs was probably mislead. If you go back and listen to that now, you probably want to kill yourself. He's a no talent artist. You can get anyone from any hood and tell them rap like this about this and they would have his career.

A guy from Harlem that jacked Houston's rap style. He was destined for future failure. I asked a bunch of thots in the hood did they know ASAP dropped a new album, and they was like "hell the fukk naw". I asked some suburban whites that liked rap music did they know ASAP put out a new album, and they were like "We been stopped listening to ASAP Rocky many years ago" lmao.

This new album is wack. Let's keep it real.

As a Rocky fan, I have no inclination to bump the shyt again. And I'm part of Rocky's core. I championed him in his Live.Love.ASAP days when your average hip hop fan didn't get his music. And I'm no hypebeast. It has nothing to do with being "early". Live.love was just special - period. And special people took notice.

To me, your core is everything. We'll cop one or two weak albums, but it won't happen for long. The fairweather will be gone long before that.

Dude needs to find some inspiration, get desperate and energetic again (a big reason why Live.Love was so potent) and reclaim his sound.

The source of that sound is Clams, beautiful Lou, SGP, asap ty beats and Lyle. Or whoever is the next level version of those guys. No more industry producers: they've never made Rocky's best material.

If I had to pick three words to define this album: uninspired, generic, weak. You pretty much nailed it. shyt was trash. I'm by no means a fan of ASAP but tracks like Peso, Bass, Brand New Guy, I dunno they had a unique energy and sound to them.

ASAP really wasn't that good of a rapper. There's no denying he came with some good beats, and I think that sound is why some people may have stanned him a bit too hard, but yeah...

I can understand the OP's post, because it's a big difference between stanning an artist and casually liking some of their music.

I like alot of tracks dude makes, but I wouldn't consider myself a fan of his. Like I don't care at all about his success or well being as an artist. I will peep his music and keep the tracks I like and trash the shyt I don't care for. In my eyes, all the music I listen to from him are good songs:manny:. I still go back and listen to Long Live ASAP, if for nothing else but to hear "Suddenly":wow: But I get it. As a stan, you want your favorite artists to continually drop undeniable projects and get their proper recognition for them.

That's why I stan artists that drop nothing but piff, even if the rest of hip hop fans are too slow to realize it:mjcry:

It has a few alright tracks but the core of his fan base ie the tumblr and soho kids will love it. He'll be fine but yeah I don't see him dropping anything like Liveloveasap. That shyt is still :wow: status.

Either you're a. A liar or B. A fukking weirdo who goes around asking randoms if they heard an album from an artist you don't even like
