use to listen and i too thought live love a$ap was something special.

stop listeningt when i realied i was on some bullshyt, an that he literally rapped about nothing.

he did come out with a new sound tho (which was really just combinations of other souns)

but still i don't even listen to his old stuff anymore cuz it reminds me of that time:manny:
He does rap about nothing.

I be that pretty mothafukka...
Harlem's what I'm replying
Rick Owens
Raf
Issey miyake
Junya watanabe
Your girl
Drugs
And that's it.

He just makes it sound good.

I'll say it...FERG>>Rocky

But honestly I think the mobs more talented members need to get a chance to sign...but like @SirBiatch said I think unfortunately their time might be done.

Agree with OP. The album sounds generic & boring, Rocky has moved too far away from what made him a good artist in the first place. Rocky is basically Big Sean now, only with weaker MC skills.

I'm not going to say he's done tho, I said the same thing about Wiz and that motherfukkas still here. To say he's done would be to severely overestimate how high the bar is set for artists of this generation. Rocky will still be the tumblr kid darling untill a new guy can come & snatch his hipster fans like he snatched odd futures.

Rocky did what not a lot of artists can do, switch the style on an album and still maintain his core fanbase (OP dont count), most people who fukked with Rocky before are still fukking with him :manny: Still gonna sell out shows, still went #1 (a different style and 2 years later), and people still gonna be checking for what he drops next. He's straight, can't wait for him to drop a tour on us :banderas: last few been amazing

Well you yourself have said that you're a Rocky stan so thats why I used that terminology haha.

:what: :russ: when did I say this? Receipts?

Maybe I'm trying to revolutionize stanning, but if you ask me, there ain't even a singe snare hit on a Travis Scott record that sounds off :yeshrug:

I don't understand. what's that got to do with anything

I agree about that particular "sound". I think its tight af. Rocky's beat selection is pretty unique. Thats why I personally love A.L.L.A. because he went in a whole other direction. I like when artists grow out of their comfort zones though. But if he would have stuck with Clams for a whole album would I be disappointed? Hell nah. They're nice together. Period.

I personally have not listened to a rapper who picks these types of beats consistently. Yeah, here and there, artists over the years have taken that sound and made one record on there album but thats it. Drake takes it to the softer side of that 'airy' ambience with him and 40 but Rocky is the Mobb Deep to Drake's ATCQ when it comes to one another's 'sound'. He's grittier and grimier.

I cant think of any other rappers who utilize this sound. Other musicians, sure, but not rappers. I personally would love to spit over an album of Clams beats. It's a lane up and coming rappers should take advantage of.

great post.

:salute:

He just wants attention. You might as well give it to him.

@SirBiatch overanalyzing A$AP Rocky albums over a glass of 02 Merlot, what the fukk is wrong with you :mjlol:

In here soul searching to "p*ssy, Money, Weed" :mjlol:

Please, tell me more about how "Purple Swag" speaks on the caste system in India as well as the decline of regionalism in urban markets :mjlol:

A$AP Rocky decided to test his range instead of going backwards. Now you're all in your feelings because it's not the trendy hipster shyt from LiveLoveA$AP :mjlol:

If you weren't trying so hard to be "sophisticated hip hop fan" you might have appreciated the album for what it was :francis:

:russ:

though the rest of your post was simp, I dapped you for the Merlot joke.
