Come around here at night though. In some neighborhoods, they don't turn on the streetlights at night so it's literally pitch-black around here. shyt's crazy. I'm definitely going to leave one day but I feel that living here makes you respect hardship. If you can make it out here, you can make it almost anywhere.

Don't leave for good. Detroit is making a come back right now.

I am rooting for Detroit to make its comeback... It's a city that saved the world twice. There are people there that deserve a shot at a decent life and it would be disgraceful to let it go down the drain.

I'd like to visit someday. My Detroit brehs... when's the best time of year to visit? Where should I stay and go?

Detroit's not going down the drain. I think if you visit you will be surprised. I will say, please know someone up here and don't get lost on the East side (born n raised).

Stay downtown, or stay in the East Suburbs, like Troy (go to somerset if you end up in troy). The best time of year is summer or late spring. There is mad culture in Detroit, Great restaurants ( probably the most diversity of cultures and food anywhere), good Museums, a black history museum, Art, things to do. If you go to strip clubs, there are about 7 thousand in Metro Detroit. If you're seeking ratchet women - highest per capital.

Plus pride, this city basically is what represents America more than any other.

My first time to Flint was for a basketball game. After we left we were driving home (around midnight) and got stopped at a red light. This cop comes out of no where with the lights on and pulls right next to me and says "what the fukk are y'all doing here!? get out and go home now!"

So we leave and get stopped by another red light and this same cop comes u[ and says "you dumb motherfukkers don't listen! i said leave and don't stop!!!"

From then on I look at Flint like

I cannot get enough of my fascination with Detroit.It really is beautifully ugly. No hate, it can only improve from here. I got family in Michigan, even tho i don't really talk to them. I want to visit Detroit n see what its like firsthand. Only thing is, I value living, so i dono if i can go there f i don't have this dude as a personal escort

as an eastsider, dont go on the fukkin eastside without some people that know where to go and how to get back out
same for some westside parts

downtown is starting to come together, its great in the spring/summer time

our resturaunts are all great, try fishbones if you come through

we got casinos and strip clubs by the pound for all your debauchery needs

red wings/lions/tigers all within distance of each other...give it a few years and if things work out the pistons will be back in the heart of the city too

cruise woodward, ride down to belle isle and chill by the water in the summer or hop on the princess and two step with them old folks

i love my city
