I still dont understand how Lex Luger flopped so bad in the WWF?

he right i used to like Glacier cuz he looked cool to me
I liked hillbilly jim cause he had overalls and a cool hat, and was friends with hulk hogan. (btw, idk why they dont make more guys friends of cena for the rub). Funny thing was though, hillbilly jim was fukking RIPPED even for that era...

if i remember right,...lex sucked because in the nwa.
they took so long to establish him as a winner with the title.
that when he got it,..it wasn't over the right person and it sucked.
then it just transistioned into the wwf as he had a poor gimmick.
plus a wack moveset,..no rack and he was not what people liked luger for.
wwf was so poor quality wise.
it is one of those telltale signs of wwf being inferior quality wise in general.
it just never worked, and the booking was so much bullshyt.
it could never re-right the wrongs of luger as a draw.
plus it went in such a pisspoor direction content wise in the wwf.
it just compounded on to the heavy building dislike for luger.
i hated the narcissist, the gimmick, the moveset, the finisher, etc.
it was the worst promotional character change ever,..plus it also created why people would eventually migrate to the wcw.
when the nwo came about.
as wcw had finally trumped the wwf.
when it came to making a better play on promotion changing stars.
lex luger's awful run was a catalyst to wwf almost being doomed.
imo,...perfect being buried also hurt their draw as well.
i just think perfect was a better worker.
that eventually he drew more than lex in the wwf.
yet if you told me, or any kid familiar with lex. that perfect was better than lex before he changed promotions. you would have gotteb best to death with a wooden block at the playground.
wwf and nwa handled luger so poorly,..they ruined what draw he had as a possible larger drawing bf, back then.
also back then,...luger being a heel was a stoopid move.
as he should have always been a bf, period.

Nah man, NWA/WCW Luger had no impact over how badly his run in WWE/F went.
Lex was very over in NWA/WCW a at the end if his run there was in a feud with Sting for the title.
I always saw his failure in WWE to be a mixture of Vince initially signing Lex for that gay ass bodybuilding fed instead of as a wrestler, then when the WBF failed as expected, saddling him with that idiotic Narcisist gimmick (he could have just been an egotistical douche without taking things to such an absurdly over the top level), forcing a feud with Curt Hennig who was playing the egotistcal character already and a hundred times better at it, then turning him face in a desperate attempt to make him Hulk Hogan 2.0.
His entire time in Vince's employ was a textbook example of mishandling.
This gimmick was hilarious...the undefeated streak going on the same time that Tatanka was undefeated, the bionic arm victories, and his attitude. Best character he ever had.
I was a big Luger mark as a kid, but when he came to the WWF and did the whole Lex Express thing, even I thought it was a lame Hulk Hogan rip off. and that was part of the problem, fans see through shyt like that, even at a young age. On top of that, Luger is a natural heel and that's what he should have stayed.
