Really, the primary difference between Payton and Belichick is that year off that Payton had. Even great coaches need to distance themselves from a down season. OP acting like he got access to Bill Belichick Agent's email, some teams might have contacted to gauge interest and were declined for all we know. This is a guy that for 30 years have kept his contract terms(Lenght/Value) a secret and the details on them are pure media speculation unlike other coaches. Theres like 3 teams with openings that he probably he wouldn't go to off the rip Panthers, Titans, Seahawks probably wont get any of the top coaches available.
