I never understood how Sid got title runs

Sucked in the ring...slow and stiff. His interviews were trash. Redneck with a jheri curl motherfukker didn’t draw. He never deserved world title gold. WWF had much more deserving wrestlers at the time...

HBK, Bret Hart, Vader, Jeff Jarrett, Owen Hart, Davey Boy Smith, Undertaker, Razor Ramon, Steve Austin, Mankind

The title runs weren't shocking.

Let's talk about how he got to main event two WrestleManias!

Probably one of the luckiest guys in WWF history, considering that he spent both of his runs there being injured/"injured" most of the time and did next to nothing both times. But the guy was over, no doubt about that.

That dude was over as hell for pretty much his entire career. Someone who always got your attention when he showed up on screen, and was always over with the live crowds. Stayed around the main-event level for a pretty good chunk of his career purely because of his look and his charisma.

A lot of other wrestlers hated working with him and that's understandable, but dude was a solid option as a champ. He connected with crowds.

sid had a very distinct IT factor you can teach or develop..a roided out hillbilly who said wild shyt and had notable catchphrases..plus could be carried from watchable to great matches...the run where he got wwe belts were some of the best matches in that man's career

Sid was a character. He wasnt going out to put on mat clinics. They had specialist for matches like that. He was a big ass guy with a dope character and a well suited move set.

In reality Sid could've been a much bigger star. IMO the three times he was at his hottest he got screwed over in 2 out of the 3 with bad booking. I think it was Halloween Havoc 91 where they had him beat the fake Sting only for the real Sting to come out and beat him. Then the booking with Hogan with a screwjob finish. You have him win either of those clean and I think you got a huge star coming out of it yet both times it cooled his momentum.
