Just saw something that somehow makes the Hurts pick even worse


No one else took a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round

There was no rush on qbs that put them in a spot to have to get their guy

They could have waited til the 4th (where they have 3 picks) and probably got a top 5 QB in this draft

This is embarrassingly bad use of assets. Like horrendous

The drop off from Hurts to Easton/Fromm was huge. He was gonna get selected in the 2nd/early 3rd

Because of our scheme and where the league is going. Defenses are running 5 DBs now or 3 safeties. It is a passing league. Look at the Clemson kid Raiders drafted he was listed as LB but really a safety...

tanner muse (Clemson S) was the guy I referenced that Howie wanted

these small lbs ain't it...we have to deal with strong running games in our division

bradham was our only lb who played physical w/ thump & he's gone

I don't mind having one little lb but Gerry & this kid have to be starters and won't be able to shed interior linemen

This is very true. Wentz is really good but it's not like he's proven to be an elite franchise QB quite yet like everyone is making him out to be. If anything this should help push Wentz to be that guy Eagles fans think he is. If it doesn't then Jalen will get his chance when Wentz inevitably gets injured again over the next 2-3 years. And if the Eagles develop and handle Hurts correctly then they will be able to get good value out of him if Wentz manages to stay healthy

It's just a late 2nd it's not the end of the world. Their other draft picks were more questionable to me. Reagor was a major reach with all the WR talent in this class and Taylor is a 2 year project at best. If they were just smart with those picks and the rest of their picks then there's nothing wrong with the Jalen pick. You can fill all your needs with other picks if the GM is competent

It's not even that I hate Jalen Hurts as a player. I just don't like the pick at that spot because we have big needs at other positions. Best of luck to him though and I hope he does contribute to the team when he does play.

What I think we need now in whatever order.

OLine - Backups all over with possible replacements for Kelce and Isaac.

LB - let's get Gerry clean the fukk outta the starting lineup.

S - I like Mills going to safety but let's get another guy in there because maybe that doesn't work and Mcleod ain't great either.

RB - I like Sanders and Scott alot and I'm fine with them being Rb1&2. We need a big back though even if it's just to show the threat.

I'm hoping some of that is filled on day 3.
