yall keep talking about this rookie contract...its ONLY for this season...after that- you are gonna pay mr 5-6 sacks a year around 10M a year.
Normal GM practice would be to trying to trade a player like DB if you dont think he will be the player you hoped, when he has one year left on his rookie deal
Funny thing is DB at $10m >>>>> Ngakoue at the $20+ he wants.

I think signing Hargrave just like Malik last year indicates they feel like that spot next to Fletch is the major concern and DB can still become the edge they envisioned. Can't fault them when they just watched Graham be solid early in his career and gradually get better in year 4, 5, 6, etc to reward their faith.

Comparing Barnett to Mike Fukkin Mamula is harsh :whoa:. Lets not forget he fukked up his shoulder real early in his sophomore season to put him on IR and he was the second part of one of the greatest plays in Eagles history when BG stripped sacked Brady. He deserves just a lil respect on his name than being compared to Mike fukkin Mamula :picard: .

Normal Gm practice dictates that but that depends on if the team is competitive for a playoff spot or better yet a contender by the trade deadline and wats behind the player on the depth chart if u trade him.

Josh Sweat, Gernard Avery, Daeshon Hall and Shareef Miller :sadcam:

Im just saying this team lives and dies by the pass rush. If you trade for a premium pass rusher like Ngakoue or sign someone like clowney or ansah.. why not keep Barnett for this year and see wat he does in this scenario. I think he was better in that 2017-2018 rotation with curry, graham and long rather than last year as the primary right end.

Then u can make a decision on him to picking up his fifth year option or extend him or trade him by the trade deadline and see wat u get.

And like @Stop_It_5 said Eagles gave BG so many chances and he aint finally show out until year 5 or 6 or 7 to shed that bust label or that we should have drafted Earl Thomas instead label. Barnett is no bum just based on his track record in Tennesse and some glimpses u see so far as a professional.

No way, u trade him this offseason.

On that Vick 30 for 30, Mike said T.I. hooked him up with some money after he got of prison and had a negative bank account balance.

T.I. must be a huge fan of Vick to hook him up like that and to wear that shyt at the club for no damn reason :russ:

You are defending a DE who has less sacks in 35 games than Mike fukkin Mamula...you know the player regarded as the biggest bust in Eagles history (maybe aside from Danny Watkins) :mjtf:
You’re still responding to me like a dumbass.

NFL trade rumors: Jaguars want a first-round pick plus more for Yannick Ngakoue, per report

at the end of the day, the asking price is too high.

It’s an automatic first round pick (minimum) and he wants max dollars.

Y’all in here every other day talking about drafting a WR in the first round and potentially moving up to get the one we desire. This does NOT happen if we’re tryna pursue Yannick. The jags knew what they were doing, hence nobody bit on it.

Nobody is interested in this trade except you coli nikka experts. Y’all might be worse than the Eagles FB fan group :mjlol:

nikka you like to throw veiled shots...i dont do that, I respond directly at people...I was the person who suggested maybe we look into yannick and use DB as bate..its clear you were talking about anyone who wants yannick with your stupid ass comment " who wants someone with 8 sacks...that still more than DB has ever had and thats yannick career low...but i digress- you call me a dumb ass I already said i wouldnt give up a first round pick so why you throw that bullshyt article in here and i know he wants money...he has 37 fukkin sacks in 4 seasons- you pay for talent- btw they want a first- does that mean the first has to be 2020? I still wouldnt do it but maybe think a lil

and just bc they want a first that doesnt mean at the end of the day they dont take the best deal they can get...its like you just watched football last year

its not about harsh its about numbers b...btw- his health is also an issue- I get he caught the ball that helped seal the SB, but DB is an ok DE. I dont hate the guy but I think people overate him in this thread. yeah that DE lineup is ass btw- im pretty sure Josh Sweat has almost as many sacks as DB. They cant wait to trade him next season- once this season is over either you pay him or let him walk

I never said he was a bum, just bc I suggest he could be trade bait - doesnt mean he is slime- you have to give up something to get somethinf

honestly- the 10M number I just made up....what I do know is- on that 5th year he will paid and now you have to work out a long term deal after that. I think Hargrave will help the DE but I need the 14th pick in a draft to beat his man..and DB doesnt have alot of counter moves to get by the better tackles in the NFL- I know he worked on a spin move- but he barely uses it

I don't want to do business with Jax

If anything we need to trade back with Indy for their two 2nd rounders (#34 and #44)...at 34 we'd get a good receiver that falls into the early 2nd and still have another 2 second rounders get players who project as starters

I've been saying all along, we need to ideally get 3-4 starters out of this draft

Good luck with that breh. A good draft nowadays is if u pull out at least two starting rookies.

Drafts a crap shoot.
