Other than a couple hits we've wasted picks badly over the last while
We've also made the least amount of draft selections in the NFL over the last 2 or 3 years

drafting...I think he is below average in that area. If we drafted better (especially WR and CB) we wouldnt need to trade for Slay or dip into free agency so often (especially the last 2 seasons) and give up draft capital which is how you build a roster with contributing players who dont eat a ton of your cap

You can tell in the few past drafts who was drafted between Joe Douglas and Howie
Joe Douglas: Barnett,Dillard, Pumphrey,Whiteside
Howie: Sanders,Jones,Goedart
Douglas was a more tape/stats guy and Howie is a more what potential and talent they can bring to the team type guy

Nah I'm mad when the 2017 draft in philly only yielded Barnett and even he is just ok
A lot of teams get great value in the 4th and 5th round, meanwhile in 2018 I get Miller who didn't do shyt and a QB who is now with Dallas

The combination of giving up a 1st (cost controlled high end talent) + extending YN at a number right at the top of the edge market is too much for me.
Just don't think he's that much of an improvement over Barnett to justify it.
