Can we discuss this so called love for Carson Wentz??? What is the reasoning for this?

I deep down think it has something to do with his complexion but they treat this dude like godsend more than they did Cunningham McNabb Foles (who won a chip). Like why???

I am tired of hearing people complain about them drafting Hurts.

On BGN, it said the Eagles would have drafted Chinn or Dobbins if Hurts wasn't available

Imagine our offense with Sanders, Dobbins, Ertz, Goedert, Jaccpot & Raegor....we'd avg 30 a game

Imagine a positionless nickel def with chinn, wallace, taylor & gerry....all s/lb hybrids

I'm still hoping the Jags give us Yannick for Hurts and a 5th rounder

I'm still hoping the Jags give us Yannick for Hurts and a 5th rounder

You saying all that with a 90 percent change of no QB throwing them the ball on offense. Why would you trade Hurts and a 5th rounder for a DE who is not guaranteed to get 10 plus sacks in a season

You have to see Wentz in person to appreciate him...every team knew his receivers couldn't get past 20 yds and every pass was underneath 20 yds, and he still only threw 7 picks...w/ corners & safeties jumping routes, and jamming our receivers, etc...

any other QB throws 15+ ints under the same circumstances

And we all know we were an 11-12 win team last season if injuries don't kill us

Nikkas like you get on Wentz but don't say sh*t about Lane Johnson, Jason Peters and Alshon missing hella games, including playoffs

Wentz tore his acl making a spectacular play. he should've never came back the next season. and then he got concussed on a dirty hit. call it misfortune but if you don't think Wentz showed a lot last season I don't know what to tell you. Dude had the least talented receiver group I can ever recall. The man had o-linemen missing games left & right. Maybe Wentz doesn't get concussed if Lane Johnson plays against Seattle. All I know is we have one of the top 5 or 6 QBs in the league.

Wentz had an mvp level season in his 2nd or 3rd season, and is clearly extremely talented.

I don't think any trade's happening right now, they're committed to getting Hurts in the building and developing him/building up his value.

That's the kind of trade that would exceed the value of pick #53 and that they hope is on the table in a year or two though, flipping Jalen for that offseasons version of Clowney, Ngakoue, etc -- and while that marinates they've got a highend backup QB with a minimal cap hit. Howie can't come out and say that because the optics aren't good if you acknowledge that :

- you drafted a player with the long term goal of flipping him
- you want a premium insurance policy behind your starting QB because he hasn't finished a season 3 years in a row

Ok well I watched the Eagles draft press conference and read all the interviews that The Head Coach and General Manager of the Philadelphia Eagles did and they both repeatedly have said he's a quarterback and was dŕafted to be a quarterback

But I'll take the words of a troll from England over the people who run the eagles
