Patriots .... ???
Brady isnt there anymore. they just traded away a pick for Sanu who is slow but still better then slow ass Alshon.

i think the best we can hope for is that Alshon to come back healthy next season & play well & no dumb locker room shyt weather it was him or not. he just needs to focus on balling like he did then we made that SB run. hopefully having more speed around him can open up the middle of the field for him.

how lol his dead money from cutting him is fukking stupid high bruh. :dwillhuh:

With the old CBA, the Eagles would have had to absorb 26 million in dead money with the new CBA, the Eagles could designate Jeffery a post-June 1 cut and be on the hook for $16.7 million.

It is still a large number but it’s at least more manageable.

He is a malcontent who is not going to go hard anymore. U can see it and he is on the decline. Smart to cut ur losses now.

Still :salute: to Alshon for that superbowl ring, he was a big part of that run but its time to move on from him just like Bradham and Jenkins.

yea that is more manageable but i cant see them cutting him for still 16.7 is still a lot. they much rather just keep him on the team. again alshons beef isnt with Wentz or Doug. so it really isnt hurting the team.

He injured tho, who trading for him?
That's the issue here, after a trade the cap hits for his new team would be :

2020 - $9.9m
2021 - $12.7m

That's expensive as it is for a 30yo big body receiver coming off a down year, but he's also recovering from foot surgery and there's no telling if he'll be ready by week one. Even if a team wanted to kick the tires on him for a 7th they can't right now.

The Eagles don't save any money with a trade vs cutting him, so it's just a waiting game. If he's running around and on the field in the summer then his trade market might materialize, If he's looking that good Howie might say fukk it and keep him one more year, if he's still rehabbing and the kids look good in the summer Howie might cut him to free up the roster spot. There's really no rush.

I know he was trying to hurt Howie for trying to trade him a month after he signed his extension but those anonymous stories were bad because he undermined both Wentz and Doug to cause friction. Even almost came to blows with a teammate who wasnt feeling it last year and confronted him about it.

If u keep him away from the team, im cool with it but he cant play for us anymore. Like he cant be activated. Keep him there until his contract runs out or the cap consequences are not as severe if u cut him.

but sometimes its just best to take the L and keep it moving as well as send a message that anyone can get the fukk outta here if u hurt the team by doing anonymouse source shyt and cause uneccessary distractions.

At the end of the day, Howie fukked up on the extension with Alshon and this is the consequence. Luckily for him its not 26 mill but now its 16 mill.

A trade likely isnt happening when he is injured, he makes alot of money and has been on a steep decline and teams know u have to unload him, so they might not even want him.

I say cut him and keep it moving.
