ehh...it's been awhile since I watched Yu Yu Hakusho so I'll reserve my initial responses to this thread until I get a chance to watch that series again.

I agree even though I grew up on dbz and have a lot memories with it but shyt ended so scust kinda ruined it for me now that I look back on it. The amount of plot-holes and filler make the shyt so hard to watch now plus the majin buu saga was kinda ass aside a few moments. Then gt

No negs from me , DBZ is anime 101. It's got nostalgic value for me and had some great moments but that's about it. Yu yu had me hooked every Saturday night on adult swim back in the day.

Dude's stay hating on DBZ cuz of the crazy amounts of filler, but if you check out the manga everything flows much better. Yu Hu just didn't have to put much filler cuz the anime and manga weren't running so close to together if I remember right.
From what I've seen of Yu Hu, the whole concept and story is dope, but I still gotta go with DBZ. Goku, Vegeta and the SSJ transformations are better than anything in Yu Hu Hakusho IMO. Both great series though...

Was recently watching Yu Yu and I have to agree. DBZ just has that nostalgic feeling imo.

Yu Yu did everything DBZ did better
Better tournament, better villains, more tension, fights rarely last longer than 2 eps and everyone got their shine
Hiei was what vegeta should have been, he never really took a loss and was always a threat
More people have seen DBZ and will defend it to the death but people who have seen both know the real
