Jenny gets beaten down physically and emotionally all for living her life basically. for being a hippie, for protesting, for demonstrating, for doing damn near everything that was associated with being a liberal in the 60s and 70s and even in the 90s. Meanwhile, the guy who played the straight and narrow, named after a KKK Grand Wizard (his relative), ends up leading the good life and becoming a millionaire

Jenny being fucced up wasn't so much about her being "liberal"...her major problem overall was that whenever she had a problem
all she ever knew how to do was run from it (like she told Forrest to do forever). And you can't run away from some things (*cough* like AIDS *cough*), you gotta face them things like a hogg.

Meanwhile, Forrest never knew he was leading "the good life"...because for most of his life, all he wanted was to be with Jen-NAY.
All of that AMAZING chit that happened to him was just footnotes in his life that didn't move him one bit, because he had a..."different"

Nah, it was his kid. Can't post the vid because I'm on my phone, but when Forrest goes to her spot and meets the kid, at the end of the scene he sits down next to him to watch tv. They both tilt their head the exact same way at the same time, that was a subtle way of showing that it was his kid

I did some research and did not get a straight answer. So you could be right but that shrimp rant does not help your case.
