FL Slicer got me making bootleg Primo and Molemen beats choppy as fukk lol

yeah i held off for over a decade because i wanted to own an MPC or something like that and always looked at FL and things like that as sucker shyt but it clearly is not that and time is moving forward.

And i dont have MPC money right now

Believe me, you won't miss a MPC once you get to know FL in and out.

ive been mainly watching Busy Works and Warbeats tutorials but they are still very advanced so i cant really follow...they will do something in one click and im sitting there for a half hour trying to figure out where they clicked. i need a book or something to read. i cant really keep up with these videos at all

There's FL Studio Bible. Google it, i would say.
But those videos are more straight to the point i think.

if you know any people that make beats, maybe try to hang out with them while they're making beats. check how they do shyt. check their workflow. might give you ideas on how to make beats on your own.

yeah realistically i work better watching video...but when it comes to shortcuts and things like that i need to read it and see it on the page not moving. i fall behind instantly watching those vids

nah i cant say that i do. i feel like most of the people doing tutorials are making some sort of EDM or some music i have no idea about. i had already compiled a bunch of samples on my computer from my record collection before i started messing with the program...so ive been kinda winging it and just doing it my way until i can fill in the blanks..

started on like 10 beats....one got to maybe like 50%...i finally have one thats sort of in the mixing stages so i might actually have ONE finished beat in the next week or so if my computer is up to the task.

Do you use fruity slicer? What do you do in terms of the chopped sample? (1/6 beat, 1/4 beat, 1/2 beat, etc.)
