A 10 year old car for 24k is a bad investment unless it was never driven off the lot

You don't know much about cars. I'll pay this car off in a year and it'll still be worth at least 20k.

This is one of the most reliable vehicles ever built. And one of the least depreciating vehicles.

All Toyotas ain’t bulletproof. Those 07-2011 Camry’s burn oil like how I burn weed. You get worn valves, worn pistons, etc eventually. They notoriously had issue with engine sludge buildup up until like 20 years ago. My 2000 ES gets a lil sludgey and I change my oil with synthetic oil every 3k miles. It was just a design flaw. They got sued for the gas pedal sticking and had to recall thousands of vehicles like 10 years ago. So yeah it might be a Toyota but you gotta know what you’re getting in to and keep your vehicle maintained on schedule

Its wild the amount of misconceptions in this thread.

OP - Congrats, the LX is a legit tank. It'll outlast a majority of cars. At 100k, a Lexus is barely getting broken in. As long as you maintain it, it's going to treat you real well for years to come.

The resale value on Lexus, especially the big boy off road ones like the LX and GX is crazy. Theres a reason why they hold their value, its because they're built to last.

He can get another 150 out of the truck…. but I’m wouldn’t pay 24k with 150k miles on it unless I could see the paperwork for the maintenance and repairs over at least a 7 to 8 year period. There is a such thing as soft 150k miles vs a hard 150k miles
