I wouldn't say he sucks. He's very solid in-ring and a decent promo. Not super flashy, but he gets it as far as telling a story.
The only issue I really have with him is that he's definitely carny as fukk, a bit of an over-doer, and his passive-aggression is a bit off-putting at times. You can definitely tell he's very sensitive about any kind of slight, and that'd be fine if it didn't cross over into his work.
He felt underappreciated in WWE. Fine, we agree...so he gets his own company, agrees to be the face of said company....
....and immediately dives face-first into steel, but not before banging on a throne with a sledgehammer and setting a stipulation that he won't be able to challenge for the title ever again.
Whaaa....why's it got to be all that?
He's got an extravagant entrance and he deserves it. Treat yourself.
...but he also has a valet, a coach, a dog, a friend, a WCW legend, a live band, and Stephen Amell walking him out to the ring.
Cody, bro...we already like you. You don't need all the bells and whistles. Just wrestle...

Gets a neck tattoo*
Kind of random, but that's fine, breh. Do you.

As much as he doesn't want to be HHH, he kind of reminds me of HHH at times, in that he's a really good performer surrounded by great performers and we give him his props, but he overcompensates at times because he feels like people think he's only in the position he's in because of family or politics.
I always watch him and wonder what he's going to be doing in year four of AEW.
