As @kp404 said there is nothing to be gained from this philosophy especially as the capitalist philosophy she upholds is something we as black people are a great victim of. As a black man surrounded by racists and many people who don't share his issues, this philosophy will be of no benefit to him as the human connections and relationships he builds from here on will ultimately be what will carve him into the man that the people around him and his immediate surroundings have failed him in becoming so far.
@yo moms sympathizing and emphasizing with people is a key skill you will need in building real note worthy relationships with people and trust me, you need these relationships. A life of selfishness and isolation and lack of human relationships won't work in the long run,

We all need to learn to love ourselves first and formost, especially as black men. Growing up in the community ive seen far too many black men unable to find inner peace resulting in dependence, we need to value ourselves as much as possible.
Every Black man should read DuBois's The Negro and Hobbe's Leviathan. And as much as I hate to say it, black people(and all people) generally arent shyt these days, we need to learn to prosper independently first so we know who the good people are and what is really important. Which is why ultimately I can't get with her ideals...plus she was a racist who had a deep contempt for middle eastern people and culture.
