there's a difference between regula trap beats and stuff like the work Mannie Fresh did on TM 101, or DJ Toomp with TI, or Kanye trap beats on Mercy/Drive Slow.

Trap beats done by veteran/versatile producers are dope and can have value for years.

It's the 3 note, 808 reliant beats by dudes with no passion for music or music theory, that often won't stand the test of time

electronic music doesn't age well period because new technology comes out with more state of art crisper sounds

right. and it's an escalating game of 'crispiness'. Not only do I not care about crispy sounding shyt (it's so anti-hip hop), playing that escalating game without upping the groove is boring as fukk.

the groove of the loop is the essence of hip hop because it creates a feeling which is why the DJ would bring back the record when was spinning creating the break, that's what rap is

The most important thing in hip hop, and I bet you 95% of the Coli doesn't know this, nor care.

these trap beats have no groove lmao, the turn around on the loop doesn't snap, they are not infectious so they are less memorable

yep.

Young Jeezy has ceased to exists outside of detroit lmao, that nikka is a local detroit rapper now

:damn: Don't hurt these Jeezy stans!

Future hit Same Damn Time gets no play and already sounds old

when the sound packs get updated all those trap beats sound played out

the snares sound weaker and the 808's don't hit as hard, it's like comparing an 08 benz to 15

:damn: sheesh! (Young Thug voice)

Future/trap stans, get in here! Master's shytting on you.

cheap ass synth that sounds like a gay fire alarm

Who told you this? Not true. Trap generally has a pretty fast high hat rhythm. But its a straightforward rhythm that's not complex and quite possible for a professional drummer to emulate...
Post a video of a drummer emulating a trap rhythm then.

:what: Because that's not how debates work

Why are you even here? Do you have anything to add to this topic or you just wanted to get a SirBiatch reply?

Congrats. You got one.

If you haven't found a trap beat with replay value that's on you. Search harder

Now get back to shooting down every suggestion as trash and claiming it's a debate :madiba:

Live drummers dont really try to emulate trap because the whole sound of 'trap' is based off the 808 kick and the electronic high hat sound... thats just intrinsic to the sound of trap... even if you play a trap beat on a live kit it will sound completely different different.. trap is not a complex drum pattern... its very straight forward kick and snare, alternating with a standard 16th note high hat with a burst of 32nd or 64th notes high hats... if it was doing some kinda syncopation or polyriythm or something at that speed would be difficult or impossible but its basically a drum roll on the high hat...

Here are some samples of fast drumming, all way harder to play than trap drumming, and generally faster...

sounds pretty boring really but he is a continuous stream of 64th note snares with an accept on certain snare notes and a bass note pattern

this is probably the most similar... he is hitting a drum pattern with rapped bursts of drum rolls on the high hats... got to let him cook for a minute...
