I know but if I ever did I’d have someone ready to do work for cheap

The problem is old bmw are better than new ones
Depends on which m3 you're talking about

I'd stay away from the e46 ones :hubie:

I love em, but it ain't worth the headache

And I don't think you'd want the work for these cars done cheap :russ:

If they fukk something up, that'll be more money spent

that’s fair breh tbh im just speaking hypothetically for peers in my age group coming out of hs/college where im based from.

not slighting op at all. i just see a lot of dudes personally in my area not allocating their money right and wasting it trying to stunt all day. like it’s no way certain dudes ik have the means to be trying to live like rappers out here.

spending on weed, car, insurance, rent, clothes, vacay out the wazoo with barely enough money coming in while being 80k in debt
I feel you. The thing is, at some point, some of those things become less about stunting and more about having any kind of experience or enjoyment.

If you're truly coming right out of college, yeah a car is still a somewhat strong commodity/premium item. Over the next couple of years though, that changes. By that 25/26 bracket it isn't an accomplishment or premium for a man but base-level need/utility outside of the elite public transit cities.

I turned 30 this week and if I were to throw out a "my own car" as a premium in dealing with a woman (or in general) I'd be laughed away from that table/room. Making 50/60K trying to roll in a German or a SRT is doing it wrong, but even for the economic cars, everything can't be outright cashed out. Stacking 30K to flush is hard, and buying a 10 year old car or continuing to rely on and patch up a 15+ year old car isn't always the move. At some point in adult life the extreme vast majority of us will deal with a car note.

Everyone can't stay under Mama till 35 and have that delayed independence. Rent gotta be paid. Cost of housing is the biggest issue young Millennials (me) and Gen Z (young) are dealing with as it is the backbone of the American Dream/middle class. I shouldn't be in a space where I gotta stay put cause I'm not comfortable shelling out 2K/month for a 1 bed in an area where I feel I and my belongings are safe, but I am.

I can't knock vacay anymore. I went about 4 or 5 years without any real time off, and have never really had the means to travel outside of family oriented trips where I was covered. Our nation is too enveloped in work culture.

The only things I can knock are weed and clothes (at a certain pricepoint), because they aren't needs. But if a young person has as much debt as the ballpark you put it in, that's largely from that college degree, or they have a salary that can actually entitle them to that much credit in the first place.

I'm living the "duck your head and stay low" life now, I've gone back and forth with brehs on here over the "money brings women" cliche because 6 figures don't matter when you can dress in sweats for work and drive a Passport, the way that it does when you getting in/out of the 5 Series in business attire. But the social nature of humans will prevail 95% of the time, and measures will be taken to fit the cultural standard. But there's a middle ground for everything.

Y’all really think everyone with a nice car is out here live Beyond their means to impress people?
Yes. It's a fact most people can't afford new cars

They're too expensive. These dealerships got a lot of folks fooled into buying shyt that's unaffordable.

Then they're scrambling to pay for it afterwards. Restructuring their lives to fit around the expenses on their car :manny:

You know I'm right. It's plenty of folks down south driving benz's, bimmers, scats, and porsche's but live in a double wide or their mama's house

It's a kid round my way who's granddad bought them a hellcat :dahell:

Breh aint but 13 wtf was he thinking :laff:

i agree, im fighting with the vacay shyt myself. my problem i constantly see is people doing brunches and shyt among other expenditures in excess just adding on to their expenses.

the problem with most americans living paycheck to paycheck (upper middle class included) is that they’re putting too many financial obligations on themselves and act too impulsive. ppl need to find their sweet spot and that’s where the budgeting comes in.

you can live a reasonable lifestyle in proportion to the money you’re pulling in, but once you start being irresponsible with your money like you got all the money in the world and then some, that’s where the problem starts. there’s not enough ppl investing in our age range.

it’s annoying when you got women out here living unsustainable lifestyles for themselves then expecting the man to come along to finance everything while he’s still trying to support his own life and make things work for himself. otherwise it’s “you just broke” smh. backwards ppl
