I finally got around to watching the wire...

I would neg, but the first 7-8 episodes are slow. It doesnt get good until late in season 1

I have to agree.

I watched the first 5 eps of The Wire like thinking "This can't be what everyone has been talking about, can it?" I couldn't go on after that, shyt was dull as fukk.

Conversely, Breaking Bad was good from the first 5 mins. I'm halfway through season 2 now. Love this ish.

Breaking bad will only get better

If you went to watch the Wire expecting the same cinematics, and style like
breaking bad you dont need to be watching this
you need to completely separate both shows in their own category

think of The Wire as watching a Documentary of the life in Baltimore
