The lack of next level star is by design and an asset to them now. WWE is the selling point, not any individual talent, so everyone can be replaced and things move on smoothly. The only guy who can't be replaced is Cena, and he's on his way out on his own. Roman is great and gets the biggest reactions, but if he were to get hurt or retire, the company wouldn't miss a beat. And that's kind of the point now. They want you to go see a WWE show, not go see a Nakamura match.

Meh, that's not good at all and leaves the shows a lot to be desired. For the 11 year old who wants to go to wrestling, that's fine because they just see names. The middle-age crowd? Why would I go see that when I can go watch other promotions with better wrestling and better booking?

Also, has anyone ever left and we said "Man, WWE is done?" Outside of Hogan leaving?

WWE is much better than they were a decade ago. The current issue is that Jinder Mahal single handedly turned Smackdown into the B show again, but last year they sacrificed 4 months of time because HHH didn't want to show his face during NFL season and KO/Y2J/Roman/Seth became the most stale storyline in history. Looks like more effort is given with the matches at No Mercy, but it's all for naught if Brock is going to fukk off until January with the belt after this match.

You mean Roaddogg, cause initially, Jinder was money. Unfortunately, once Roaddogg took the reigns from Ward (which the WWE continues to lie about, but it's very obvious Ward's role has been limited), he turned Jinder into a general foreign heel, especially on the promo said. Jinder has been cutting the same promo for like 3 months now if not longer (besides him making the Sing Bros bow down to him:mjlol:)

Tbh, besides AJ, a couple women, Miz, Braun, and Breezango, new gimmicks that pop up, I've been generally bored with the WWE for awhile now. Thankfully, the WWE isn't the only company I watch :manny::sas1:

Sorry, but this is foolishness on ur part.

Nobody has ever left and the company suffered. Maybe in the 90s with Hogan, hall, nash etc. But the days of fed jumping are dead obviously.

Even if ur referring to the Rock leaving, the company never missed a step. If anything, Rock leaving opened the door for others to grow great. Austin leaving at times helped solidify Rock.

Undertaker being gone hasn't left a void. Only reason Brock leaves a void is bc he has the damn belt

They're just playing it safe bc Vince wants kids to like Roman and buy his merch. That's ALL it is.

Adult fans sparingly put up with the Cena era, but they wont stick around for Cena 2.0 in Roman. Especially with their being no CM Punk or Daniel Bryan etc to give adults someone to balance out the product.

I think it's been proven quite a bit that this isn't true at all. Various fans turned away cause of WCW going under, The Rock leaving for movies, and Austin's frustration and leaving.

The fukk are you talking about? They added more vault content in the past 2 months than the prior 3 years. Whole years of WCCW, new never before aired on 24/7 Old School Shows dating back to 1973, almost the entire run of WWE ECW, Thunder is reportedly the next big dump, new collections every month, NXT when it was still just on local Florida stations, Mae Young Classic is currently on going, 205 and NXT are weekly Network exclusives.
I've been on the Network since launch day.

It's boring as hell rt now. I could cancel and not miss any entertainment in my life other than the live ppvs.

I don't really watxh World Class and ECW run was unwatchable garbage for the most part.

You mentioning 205 Live is laughable when wwe themselves doesnt even give a damn about it.

You gonna tell me about Main Event, too?

We say this every year...

I hated the Brock reign of terror initially, but now I'm kinda into it.. I just hope Roman isn't the one to dethrone him, but we all know he will be

it's not all ugly tho, there's some bright spots. I'm ready for Braun vs Brock :feedme:

I completely forgot football was even a thing. I haven't seen a single snap, I'm off that racist ass league.
You dont watch NFL because its racist but watch WWE? :wtf:

They literally added like 300 hours of content in the past 2 months and they produce 2 weekly exclusives and are now doing a 32 women tournament exclusive to the Network, multiple new docs...yet you're saying they haven't put up anything in ages and don't put up new shows. :skip:

Do you want more top 10 countdown shows or something? There's a big difference in "they haven't put anything up in ages" and "I don't like what they put up". Use your words.

The wwe is better now than they were five years ago.

The Indy scene is at the weakest it's been since `02

The wwe has a strong hold over the whole game & they almost to the peak where they fully monopolise the game for good.:hhhtroll:

Time for some anti-trust class action monopoly busting :upsetfavre::jbhmm:

For real tho, im just a visitor popping in but the late 90s to mid 2000s was my jam. During the "Ruthless Aggression Era" iirc, i used to like SD better than Raw too.

shyt all went downhill around 2008/2009. There were a few instances when it peaked my interest, but they dropped the ball everytime.

I don't think there was anything stopping TNA or anyone other org (if it could get the TV deal TNA got) from replicating "Attitude Era" strorylines and aggression. But they never bothered. Probably in part because it was the spiritual successor to WCW as far as who was running it, and WCW was a place with monkeys running a business and they were operating on a loss, not to mention the bad writing. The "Ratings war" meant jack shyt if you can't even make a buck.

Wrassling needs some new players....one's who know what they're doing. Not replicate what worked pre-90s or post-10s, but what worked 95–2005.

WWE makes they're money selling games & toys, and airing commercials for games & toys. So bye-bye raunchy storylines, blood and chairshots. But if you a company who's not gonna sell toys, dolls and 7/11 cups, why try to follow that model of TV?

Wrestling isn't a real sport you don't have "rankings" where if you dont have the high-ranked fighters you're not gonna be taken seriously. Its about creating characters. Anyone can invent their own STAR, if they just do it right. WWE seriously needs competition.

As much as some people may not like it the minute TNA fell off for good was the moment the Indy's dropped significantly.

TNA was the only company that had any slight chance of potentially ever being a legit competitor to the wwe & the only alternative that legit gave Indy wrestlers any real mainstream limelight.

With it's downfall not only does it close that possibility down, it also allows the wwe to have full reign over the talent pool since TNA isn't even a viable alternate anymore as well.

Hopefully New Japan can make a push in 2018/19 with Daniel Bryan. Nakamura deal will be up, Punk will be out there, etc

It's really hard to get over a new top heel without a face fans give a shyt about. AJ just turned face months ago, and Orton is Orton.
