honestly, he's better than pete rock and large professor
when i think about it, he's up there with dr. dre, premier and rza, he ain't get that kind of appeal just because that production credit went to "a tribe called quest"
but nikkas in the know, know q-tip was the nikka behind the boards on that production
q-tip did a lot more than he's ever gotten full credit for
while q-tip said "straight outta compton" influenced him to with makin' "the low end theory", dr. dre has said that "the low end theory" influenced him to make "the chronic"

Q-Tip is definitely up there with them he's in my top five his catalog on the Tribe stuff alone qualifies him then his solo stuff like The Renaissance is dope too. We just need The Last Zulu to come out last I heard he was executive producing Kanye's new album with Rick Rubin.

Everyone, I'd assume. I even had the tape. It was AWFUL. That was the power of Tip, though.
Q-Tip is honestly the most unsung hip hop legend who's actually deserving of the title.

q tip was indeed a powerhouse in the 90's though

Large is better than Hav. Better voice. A more beautiful, positive soul and he gives me chills. I love Hav. Like love, love him. No homo. But Hav is a sick man who struggles with addiction and his soul reflects it.
