I don't think we've seen 5% of what Julius Randle is capable of

:dahell:

In no particular order:

Embiid
Wiggins
Jabari
Jokic
Gordon
LaVine
Capela
Warren
Nurkic
Bogdanovic
Smart (yes, simply because he's the best, most impactful defensive guard in the league)
Saric

I'm taking all those players before I even think about taking Randle. And how the hell are you gonna say he was "close" like he didn't just say Randle was going to become a "superstar" in that very post?
Bruh you on worse bath salts than Swag if you seriously think anybody on that list outside of Jokic and Embiid is clearly better than Randle. You should know that Swag regurgitates hot takes at such an exponential rate that a few of the players he sets his goofy gaze on will inevitably end up being actually good through sheer statistical probability alone :russ:

Saying you'd take a guy like Lavine obviously over Randle is like salty fools saying they'd obviously take Melo at this point of his career over "top 30" Draymond; it's just nonsense to try and win some stupid argument. We know you don't really believe that shyt, don't fall into Swag's game of trolling when 1 out of his 1000 predictions turns out to be somewhat sorta correct :mjlit:
I must say, I do find it hilarious how this muh'fukka looked at that list of names, and thought picking one of the best offensive players would serve his point the best, when he could've easily chosen someone like Bogdanovic. But then again, he did try to draw parallels with players from the same draft class, and Melo and Draymond.

:lolbron:

Bath salts, indeed.

Randle on what is essentially a 1 year $9 million contract vs being hamstrung with Zach LaVine for 4/$78 million :mjlol: :mjlol:

I promise Chicago didn't even want to give him that deal :mjlol: :mjlol:
I don't see how the Bulls are "hamstrung" by his deal when it's below market value for a player of his ability, especially since he's not on a max* (*$118m) - even if he doesn't improve, there's no SC-rate raise marker on his contract, which will mean his raw salary will remain the same as the cap increases ($109m in '19/'20; $118m in '20/'21; $127m in '21/'22 - his $19.5m will only be taking up 15% of the Bulls cap in his final year). If he stays relatively healthy and keeps to a career-arc relative to his ability, the Bulls will eventually make out like bandits.

And fukk all this contract talk, I'm speaking on them theoretically as players - Randle isn't fukking with LaVine, in any way, shape, or form.

They didn’t want to give him that deal, but they did. Great analysis bro. They were already offering 16 a year before the Kings signed their sheet. Pelicans would flip Randle for Lavine in a heartbeat.

lavine's deal is a massive bargain for a player of his current talent and career trajectory based on his prior level of play

THIS POST WONT AGE WELL:

Why would the Pelicans want someone like that to be one of their leading scorers when they're trying to win games, when they have 4-5 other players who're more capable scorers/shooters?

where are all these minutes gonna come from where he can put up all these #s, even if he was capable of doing so?

U GUNA CONTINUE EATING YOUR WORDS AND TRYNA FLIP THE SCRIPT EVERY TIME I POST HIS NUMBERS IN HERE. DONT BE THAT GUY- OWN UP TO YOUR MISTAKES.

AD
Jrue
Mirotic
Okafor
etc

All have better scoring/shooting skillsets. It's not even up for debate. Okafor is unlikely to get enough minutes to put up "numbers" because he's limited defensively. The fact you're putting all this weight into the box score tells me you don't really understand what's happening on the court.

WE GUNA SEE WHO KNOWS BASKETBALL AND WHO DOESNT BY DECEMBER WHEN I BUMP THIS THREAD, MY FRIEND.

BY THAT POINT, RANDLE GUNA BE PUTTIN UP IMPRESSIVE STATS AND U GUNA COME UP WITH SOME DUMBASS EXCUSE LIKE “B-B-B-BUT OKAFOR IS PLAYING ON A BAD ANKLE!!”. I C U.

This is a typical offensive outing for Randle: 1-2 buckets on post-ups that he throws at the rim with little-to-no touch, and the rest of his points come from rolling to the rim, putbacks, and running the break - capitalizing on defensive breakdowns. And yet muh'fukkas are in here talking about how he's the second-best player in the draft.

Lord have mercy.

Just behind Embiid still has me rolling.

How many times do I need to state - it doesn't matter what "numbers" he puts up if he's still the same player? Like I mentioned above -

"This is a typical offensive outing for Randle: 1-2 buckets on post-ups that he throws at the rim with little-to-no touch, and the rest of his points come from rolling to the rim, putbacks, and running the break - capitalizing on defensive breakdowns. Regardless of how many numbers he puts up in the box score, he's still going to have the same limited skillset - his numbers will be predicated on how many minutes he gets, and how many opportunities he gets at cleaning up (garbage-man duties) and the secondary-looks he gets from his teammates once the initial looks for the likes of AD, Jrue, Payton, Mirotic etc aren't there. He could average 8/8 or 15/10, it makes no difference if he's still doing the same shyt, and that won't change unless he adds more strings to his bow: jumpshot, post/counter moves, better touch, self-creation from different spots etc.

Again, this is one of the many reasons why y'all are brainwashed by the box score, because you're allowing yourselves to be blinded, letting the #s guide you, and not looking at what's taking place on the floor.
.

What are "impressive stats" to you?
