As a former southerner currently in seattle, southern hospitality is overrated. We're just less passive aggressive and introverted than those on the west.

People are nice to me for the most part, very rarely do I meet anyone rude; and yes to the bolded mainly at fast food restaurants, I actually know 2 guys who hook me up with extra items for free at Wendy's and McDonald's

Me and my wife couldn't believe how much the cost of living when we visited someone around the outer Charolette metro. I'm already from Florida and she's a transplant, but we still felt the moving itch cause I like Charolette over every city in this state besides Orlando.
