Not mad at it, especially because of the talent level of both actors, however I don't think it's necessary. Be more interested to see something with the existing black characters.

Facts there’s plenty of black mutants they could push to the mainstream. Yet bruhs are asking for race swapped characters.

Yep, Marvel comics and X-men in particular have always been pretty diverse in the comics. All you need to do is promote the existing black characters more.
Not take popular white ones and make them black for the length of an actors contract before going back to being white again like they do with cat women every other portrayal.

I actually thought this was the way to go, because Pietro and Wanda suffered through war in the 90's in the present MCU. They can tie on all the Sakovia bullshyt from Age of Ultron.
Only catch is, they don't seem like they're going with Magneto as their father anymore.

It would be excellent casting, but I’m not a fan of changing the race of characters.

There isn't any mainstream outcry over race swapping until White roles got swapped. Jesus Christ is the most portrayed character in all of cinema, yet less than 5% of the time has an actual Jewish person played the role. No one ever complains. But when Blair Underwood took on the role for a short film, White folks publicly complained. Pale British White people played Egyptians for years, and no one was the wiser, but a Black woman portrayed Cleopatra, and it broke the internet. A Black woman playing Cleopatra got more internet engagement than a White man playing Michael Jackson. See the pattern?

Still need to cast young so they be around for the 4th or 5th movie. Denzel is 69. 10 years older than Patrick Stewart was when he first played xavier. By the time he gets casted and they film an X-men movie he'll be like 73. then damn near 80 himself by the time they get to a sequel.
