laugh track... after the credits they'd show them fukking up, IN FRONT OF THE STUDIO AUDIENCE, and martin joking around with audience members
sometimes you can hear other cast members who werent in the scene, laughing their ass off too off set.. you can hear tommy a lot of times with his loud ass laugh
I think it depends on what type of comedy you like. Martin is funny based on Martin CARRYING the show with his antics, even when everything else was weak. The writing itself was ok at best, but he made it work by being over-the-top and breathing life into it. That's why season 5 is just horrible, his heart wasn't in it. Tisha Campbell as a character was ehhh, but her chemistry with Pam, who was on fire the entire show, made it work. Martin and Tichina had excellent chemistry too.
But there are far better shows in which the writing was infinitely better - All of the characters had chemistry, the jokes play better, and when the show is firing on all cylinders, it's funnier than Martin. It's Always Sunny is one and I didn't even mention before. Married...with Children. I mention How I Met Your Mother because just like Martin, the cast be CTFU during takes at each other. Plus, all of the characters play well off each other, no matter the combo; and it was witty as hell. Perfect Strangers is probably the best 2-man combo I've seen...aside from Sanford and Son (but that's more like 2.5 with Aunt Esther/Grady). It took the I Love Lucy/Honeymooners model and amped it up.
Is Martin Lawrence the single most-funniest bul to be given a sitcom? Probably. Does that translate to the funniest show?

What the fukk is this obession with this show man? I don't get it. I've tried watching it on several occasions and it was hot garbage each time. A whiter than white bread lead and taking comedic actors who are mostly all funny in their own right, putting them together and draining the humor from them.
Please, someone try to put me onto this and point out some funny shyt in that show.

It ain't even funny like that breh, that's why i replied that way. I've seen/heard plenty of episodes so i know bc it comes on tv around ten here. It is not a bad show, but it should not even be in the discussion imo. If you want to say something like seinfeld, or curb your enthusiasm, or sanford and son, that's cool, but let's be real here, how i met your mother? GOAT?
