Better shows? Sure, of course. Funnier? Martin is the funniest TV show ever. It's all subjective though.

I agree 100%. Way better shows out there but as far as laughs nothing funnier than Martin. How many shows were there where the characters had a hard time not laughing?

Martin was good for the different characters and bring them each to life, and mixing it with that physical comedy. No other show that I can think of really did that. But as far as the writing for all around funny and sustaining that comedy, there are hella shows that are much funnier to me. There's no excuse for the drop off in season 5...or the second half of season 4.

How I Met Your Mother is a Top 5 show when it was on it's game. As individual characters, their 5 was better than Martin's 5.

yea see martin had that one up on the game.... his show wasn't even taking itself serious
while you had to watch a show like seinfeld or curbed or even arrested development.... usually each ep you'd have to get from the start, sometimes even the season... to catch little running jokes.. see where the set up jokes happened 10 mins ago... follow the dialogue and the script... and even catch little cues
nah martin was like fukk THAT.. we just gonna record 10 takes, piece together the funniest shyt, and laugh our asses off... half the shyt wasn't even in the script.. they just let martin and company run wild.. let them fukk up scenes with blatant laughing... and let them freestyle comedy through it
they never took themselves as a real show... all the characters played by martin.. fukking babies flying across the room out the p*ssy... martin with the stuffed dog in the nino brown scene... martin looking at the camera like "man this is tv"....
i've caught at least 10 times where they fukkED UP... tommy davidson in the studio and martin forgets lines and starts laughing, only for TD to pick it up and keep going... the episode he wants to catch gina cheating.. the dude couldn't open the door so he just pretended to get his ass whooped
martin the show was just flat out FUNNY... come in the house at any point, turn the tv on, start dying of laughter at the shyt he was getting into

Easily, but Living Single is still a great show. Not always laugh out loud funny, but takes me back to that time. Miss Fox' old lineup with Martin, Living Single, and New York Undercover.better than Living Single
