Is that based on counting the 800 trainees they have at the PC as being 'part of NXT' though?

Clearly paying salaries to tons of trainees who are generating $0 for the company isn't part of a strategy that's supposed to be 'making money'.

I'd be interested to know if their touring shows make or lose money.

I didn't ask about Takeover. I asked about their weekly television program.

I don't watch the NXT television program, but how is that? I never hear anyone talk about it, good or bad. It seems like NXT just hinges on these Takeover shows and match quality.

But honestly, IMO, the only show that balances it all out on a week to week basis is Lucha Underground.... but then I don't watch anything else weekly....

But on that same point of PPVs and match quality, I feel the same way about NJPW. Sometimes that's all you really need.

Especially when the #1 Promotion barely pulls off good PPV matches with story payoffs after their weekly show.

its not a formula. NXT just plays it safe with 5-match cards, putting strictly their top guys on the takeover shows.

difference is, when you put these guys on the "main roster", instead of wrestling each other, theyre gonna be carrying mediocre workers.

instead of Ciampa/Gargano and cole/ricochet
youre gonna get stuff like Ciampa vs Orton, or adam cole vs braun stroman. and youre gonna watch ricochet & Gargano job out to bums like the miz.​

outside of using vince's checkbook to pluck stars out of TNA, ROH & the indies; triple h isn't really doing anything.

I could see if the NXT show was boomin week-2-week, but its usually just the takeover shows every 2-3 months that matter. and that's all on the wrestlers.

sidenote: I laughed when HHH had to go out there on raw last night and put summerslam over takeover as the better show in his promo.

The main roster is playing it dumb.

They lose money on most non-Takeover shows. They claim it one of the costs of development and getting the trainees out and performing in front of different audiences though.

Triple H is lucky Vince loves to burn money and is petty enough to want to squash even competition that isn’t really competition because the NXT model doesn’t really work on pretty much any business level at this point. Even the OVW partnership was more fruitful in terms developing “homegrown” stars at far less of a financial loss.

I feel like HHH is an ROH/PWG /indy stan and hes just booking the shyt that he would like to see, and the shyt that he has already seen work elsewhere

By all means don't get too excited cuz history has shown that a good portion of the top talent that makes jump over becomes irrelevant.
