I benched 225 last night

It feels great when you put those 4 plates on the bench and get it up. I'm doing reps now at 225. Considering i only weigh 150 pounds i'm :win:

I finish doing my sets and look around the gym like :smugfavre:

cardio may increase your daily deficit, but if you are eating your way out of it the work is for nothing

for a long term fix, fixing diet is 100% proven.

I can do 80lbs. dumbbells about 7-9 times. I maxed out around 200lbs. in January...I started off maxing 125lbs. :to:

Props. 225 is the milestone breh. Once you hit that weight, you feel like a man, you feel like you belong in the gym and you actually see your gains. Props on that


Make sure you have somebody spot you at like 10% so you can really push yourself and get comfy with it.Once you do 225 6-10 times alone, your body is clearly built and things should be way easier to reach your goal

props. used to go to the gym on and off but i just re-started to go to the gym a couple of months ago. it's the first time i've been that consistent and i really feel like it's become part of what i do finally. like a routine. even the gym staff say hi and shyt cause i always come on the same days at the same time.

anyway, my bench is very far from 225 and i gotta admit that's what i'm aiming for as well. i'm following the stronglifts programs so right now i'm at 120 for 5X5. i add 5 pounds every bench session so if everything goes well, i should hit 225 for 5X5 in about 4 months (30 pounds a month but i'll probably stall a couple of times). feels so far away but i know i'll get there. one version of the program says to do pushups on the same day as bench. i find that it kinda helps with endurance maybe.

anyway, again props for that milestone.

Good job, I hoping to reach that weight by the end of next month. For the past month been stuck on 205. I can get that for 7 (moving up doing 5 sets). I work out alone, don't have a spotter, so don't want to go higher than that without one. I've burned myself out on lighter weight in the past and had to yell for someone to get it off me lol.

you probably can do it. Just make sure you have spotter. I used to hate asking for a

spot. Now I don't hesitate. I did the first 3 reps ok :ahh::lolbron: , then the forth I

needed help.Point is don't doubt yourself. Life is all about taking risk, just make sure you

have a safety net in place....:king:

hell yeah....

I still remember that shyt. My homeboy who lifts with me hyped me up all day about it. We hit the weight room after class and I pushed that shyt up real clean. Dude went crazy and was acting like I'm the strongest nikka he's ever seen. shyt did wonders for my confidence.

That meant alot coming from a dude who was repping 315. He could have easily shytted on me Black Thunder did the OP.
