cardio may increase your daily deficit, but if you are eating your way out of it the work is for nothing
for a long term fix, fixing diet is 100% proven.
i see i see. Eating trash is a struggle for me. I eat trash. I think about not eating trash and it makes me want to eat trash. Still, because of the blessings of genetics and brazillian jiujitsu i am somehow blessed to lose fat but i dont think i have many years to enjoy this luxury. Must eliminate soft drinks and junk food.

trash isnt always trash
i eat fast food 80% of the time yet ive lost 65+ pounds. The crucial thing is the macro content of the meals(calories, protein, fat, carbs)
in the case of cutting, calories are most important, then high protein, then fit the rest however you please
even with fasts the same applies(except carbs are omitted for special refeeds)
