You're making good points but I think the pre-civil war historical context of the confederacy is lost on all but historians. I doubt even most of the people who fly the flag know what you seem to know. More to the point, I doubt they'd even care about anything other than "the south rising again". Which is of course their right as an American, I just can't get behind an American state legitimizing that shyt.
