Pau should come off the bench :ehh: he isn't mobile enough and he would have an advantage over bench bigs......Only problem is the rest of the Laker bench is :trash: :trash:

shyt they could trade Pau for another all-star, The Lakers still wont be top 3 in the West this year.
Their starters are OLD and their bench is WEAK, just like last year :youngsabo:.

Pau was playing CENTER in the triangle. Remember, Odom played most of the minutes and Bynum merely started games not finished them.

Maybe the Lakers should bring him off the bench mid way through the 1st and have him play Center when Dwight is resting and then finish the game

A guy like Derrick Williams would be the best fit. One of those tweener fours that can shoot and is athletic. That would require a three-team trade though and Minny giving up on Pek.

The best fit would be Kevin Love, Chris Bosh, Andrea Bargnani or Ryan Anderson, but none are realistic. As for Derrick Williams he isn't very good, he had a chance to start and really looked like shyt doing it, 10ppg 5rpg but shot 35% from the field. Maybe in Antoni's system he might work, but dude is a tweener in the worst sense.

Minny isn't giving up their starting C either, he's posting better numbers than Pau.

That's why I didn't mention any of them. If LA wants a replacement, they're gonna have to look 2nd/3rd tier.

Williams has looked good in flashes and I think he'd benefit in a system like D'Antoni's and with a PG like Nash. The Lakers have more talent than Minny, so it could draw attention away from him.

I went back and forth w/Tremont a little last night about possible trades involving the teams. It'd have to be a three-teamer and Pek would go to the 3rd team, Gasol to Minny. Pau would actually fit in well with that roster, since Love isn't a true back-to-the-basket PF. I'm pretty sure Pau's numbers would creep back towards his career averages with the Wolves.

I think the trade I suggested (in some form) would be Pek and Budinger to the Magic, Afflalo and Gasol to the Wolves, Williams to the Lakers. It'd obviously have to be tweaked since Gasol's salary is so high (maybe take back Hedo's contract :scusthov: ), but something like that. It'd be contingent on Minny giving up on Pek though and I doubt that happens. They'd be better for the next couple years with that move though. :manny:

I don't understand how people watch games like last night and say he's not playing well because of how he's being used. He got his shyt blocked 5 TIMES he wasn't shooting jumpers, he was going at the basket. Why did he get his shytted packed 5 TIMES? Because he is SOFT! I saw him get bullied off the block by David West, get dunked on by Ian Mahimi and constantly fumble the ball and get stripped in traffic.

Stop defending Pau!

MAKE IT HAPPEN MITCH.

HE & D-12 ARE GOOD FRIENDS WHO HAVE WANTED TO PLAY TOGETHER FOR YEARS...

I know this likely a joke, but seriously Boozer's is a better player and would be a better fit with the Lakers. If it wasn't for his contract I would like the trade. We need someone who can hit an Open mid range jumper. Even as shytty as Boozer is he can do that, and really their D is about the same. That's how bad Pau is.

I've seen this trade proposed a few places, but does anyone think the Raps would go for a Bargs + Calderon for Pau deal? I'm not sure how much the Raptors value Bargs but it might work. Hell throw in Fields too if they want.

Breh, this kinda question is like asking a parent why kids love Apple Jacks. It's GOAT franchise shyt, you wouldn't understand...:jawalrus:

I understand the franchise history but it shouldn't rule out realistic expectations for a trade for Gasol. Maybe that's why the Lakers haven't gotten rid of him yet.
