Out here in Houston, I like to visit the menil collection. The art is amazing. If you view it as expression, it opens your mind to something completely more visceral. Some of these artist have some dark, fα»₯cked up thoughts on canvas.....but we only see contrast of colors thrown together. It's therapy.

Van Gogh, same birthday as mine is one of my favorite artist but that nΔ±gga was depressed. Loved how he used the back of the paint brush for some of his work. He was well traveled. I saw Italy and France and Spain.

If you look at Basquiat, he was a deep in thought, revolutionary, expressing our pain as art. He was hip hop, punk and ahead of his time.
