Update in Augusta.
Opportunitist are thriving right now and that may be why more stores aren't opening. People in neighboring cities (mostly Hephzibah I'm hearing) and my wife's best friend (in South Augusta) have reported being without water since this morning, rumor is they are turning off water for some of the city for reasons I haven't gotten a clear answer for.
Traffic is ungodly, I swear there is almost no point to stay home but you have to with the way people blow through intersections that still have no working lights. Speaking of power, officials are saying it may be Friday until we get power instead of Tuesday. We have a curfew in Richmond county and neighboring Columbia county. I think they are 9 and 10pm... But I learned my lesson after getting home at 7:45 yesterday. Driving in pitch black with trees and debris everywhere you look is no bueno. There is a story of a driver from last night who got impaled in the chest by a downed tree that they couldn't see. Due to the conditions, paramedics couldn't reach the person in time.
Georgia as a whole already doesn't handle natural disasters well but Augusta/Richmond county is a different level of incompetent. So many of us have zero clue as to what's what or what will be
