Twerking is black culture, if you look at almost all the dances (swing, azonto, wining, sexy walk, mash potato, toe wop, the butt, tootsie roll) we have made since back to Africa, it uses a form of twerking. Black people dance with their hips. White people hoe down and river dance lol.

The word twerking is fairly new but it is just a reimagining of dances before.

Its not about wether or not twerking is positive or something to be proud of. Its the fact that bytches like Miley and Iggy take something that was black originated and use it to become more popular. The fact that they take negative stereotypes and act them out is even more telling considering they take none of the positive.
